Make An Invisible Folder

here are the steps...

1. Make a new Folder
2. Turn your Num Lock On and 'hold' ALT key and type 0160 from NUMPAD [right end of keyboard]
3. Press Enter to Save the name of folder
4. Right Click the folder -> click Properties
5. Go to Customize Tab -> Click Change Icon
6. Scroll Left and choose the blank icon
7. Press OK...

3) Double-click on the icon that says Sounds and Audio Devices.

4) A Sounds and Audio Devices Properties window pops up – select the Sounds tab.

5) In the bottom-half of this tab, under the Program events heading, you will find a list of different sounds. Scroll down this list to locate the option for Start Windows. Select this option by clicking on it once.

6) From the Sounds drop-down list right below this list, select the option for None.

7) Next, a few steps down from Start Windows, you will see the option that says Windows Logon. Select this option, and then select None from the drop-down list.

8) Click on Apply.

9) Click on OK, to exit the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties dialog.



If you want to put your favorite song as a startup tone, simply click on Browse after Step 5, and select the audio file to set it as a startup tone.

In this post, i will tell you how you can delete the recent files list from PowerPoint 2007, and the steps are quite similar for the other applications as well. These simple steps are outlined below.

1. Open PowerPoint 2007.
2. Click on the Microsoft Office logo to the top-left of the application window.
3. In the dropdown menu that comes up, click on the tab that says PowerPoint Options.
4. A new dialog will crop up – click on the Advanced tab on the left-hand side panel.
5. In the Advanced options for working with PowerPoint displayed on the right-hand side panel, under the Display heading, locate the option for Show this number of Recent Documents.
6. Change the value in the number field next to this option to 0.
7. Click on OK.
8. Exit the Options menu.

From now on, PowerPoint will not record or display any of the files that had been accessed using it.

Different Ways to Shutdown PC

There are so many different ways to turn off your Windows XP computer, let's look at some of them:


1. The standard approach - click the Start Button with your mouse, then select the Turn Off menu and finally click the Turn Off icon on the Turn Off computer dialog. blink.gif

2. Press Ctrl+Esc key or the Win key and press u two times - the fastest approach.

3. Get the Shutdown utility from Download(dot)com - it add the shut down shortcuts for you. Else create them yourself using approach 4.

4. Create a shutdown shortcut on your desktop. Right click on the desktop, choose New Shortcut and type shutdown -s -t 00 in the area where you are asked to specify the location of the program file. Now you can just double click this icon to turn off the computer. The best location would be your quick launch bar.

5. Press the Win key + R key to open the run window. Type shutdown -s -t 00. [s means shutdown while t means the duration after which you want to initiate the shutdown process].

If some open processes or application won't let you turn off, append a -f switch to force a shut down by closing all active processes.



6. Win+M to minimize all windows and then Alt+F4 to bring the Turn Off computer dialog.

7. Open Windows Task manager (by right clicking the Windows Task bar or Alt+Ctrl+Del) and choose Shut down from the menu. Useful when the Windows are not responding.

3. Now, double click on Internet Protocol Version(TCP/IPv4) and in newly opened window at bottom, select “Use the following DNS Server address” .

4. And fill these 2 DNS Addresses in two fields:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

and hit OK. Thats it. Your BSNL Internet Broadband DNS Servers changed.

TRICK 2 :

If you are using a BroadBand connection at your home and using Windows Xp as your Operating System, and you feel that your BroadBand speed is a bit less, then in that case you have the option to increase your Broadband speed upto 20%.

1. First of all make sure you are logged in as Administrator.
2. Go to Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc , Press OK.
3. Then go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> QOS packet Scheduler.
4. On the right it will give you the option of Limit Reservable bandwidth, open
and and select Enabled, and change the value from 20 to O.

Now, your BSNL internet broadband speed will be increased. Thus, you can now enjoy high speed BSNL Internet broadband. I hope you’ll like this BSNL Internet speed increasing hack/trick.
